About Us

Zambala Gifts was started in January 2004 by Mara Shnay, a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner since 1992. We started with a focus on Tibetan Buddhist shrine items, and have let our love of singing bowls and beautiful silver jewelry start us selling an increasingly large selection of these items. We sell both retail and wholesale, and ship our products all over the world.

Mara is shown here with her dharma friend Khenpo Tashi Gelek, who "adopted" her as his younger sister while living in Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe, South India. Khenpo is not involved in Zambala Gifts, he is currently in Dharamsala studying English, but someday he will come to the West to teach dharma.

And because aspirations are very important -
